TOS in the last report you shared, the forex fees for the manual BIL purchase are free. is it still free now when you generate the report?

(after dealing with IBKR reports, i'm aware the commission fees are only really finalised days after the actual trade)

that doesn't make sense then. rclxub.gif a fee of 0.03% would still mean $0.03 fee if forex amount was $100

Brokerage firm Interactive Brokers said on Wednesday it had lost $48 million due to a glitch at the New York Stock Exchange earlier this month that triggered massive swings in the price of Berkshire Hathaway's stock.

The brokerage said it had filed claims with the NYSE to compensate it for these losses, but the exchange denied its requests.

Interactive Brokers said it was mulling its options, but does not expect the losses to have a material effect on its finances.- Reuters

When transferring USD in Wise to IBKR, do you have to login to IBKR and initiate the transfer from IBKR
    *
yes every time, this is the direct Wise way. you have to pull money from inside IBKR every time.
    QUOTE(sthrowaway @ Jul 21 2024, 09:59 PM)
just transfer directly from within Wise
    *
you can push from Wise (cheaper but slower way) into IBKR using ACH. no need to login into IBKR

recurring allows you to save on $2 conversion fees. and also clearing + exchange fees. $0.21
QUOTE(Medufsaid @ Mar 12 2024, 08:39 AM)
tested LSE fares by buying
  • 1st batch manually @ $xxx.00
Was charged $1.91, so tallies with my excel calculations (commission + exchange fees + clearing fees)
  • 2nd batch via RSP @ same price
Only charged $1.70, so I guess exchange and clearing weren't charged
both same ETF

even though 2 banks, it's still the same wise account right? either
  • limit is more than RM30k, or
  • they forgot to enforce it on website

Just update here this afternoon compare to online XE rate. Wise around 0.69% difference. Sunway money and money match around 0.6%. WISE direct to ibkr in usd around 0.6%...I will try Wise to ibkr directly. Do I need to initiate from ibkr or just do it from wise directly? The setup done previously.

this post made me recheck the wise/moneymatch/duitnow rates and surprisingly, Wise is cheapest for 2 days now

Wow I hope this is not like the old rakuten days where you can't hold currency balance for the instrument.

So each time you buy/sell, you need to do conversion fee

Buy FCPO, convert from SGD to MYR. Sell FCPO, convert to SGD from MYR.

Until IBKR allows MYR balance, just avoid
