I checked the conversion from SGD to USD in IBKR. Looks quite near google's rate. This means transfer is now made easier with using BigPay + Conversion via IBKR to purchase US stocks. Least hassle and less fees than bank TT.

you log in and see lo ...

in the past, you are supposed to "open" the borderless account after logging in, and you'll be given your personal bank details so that you or other ppl can transfer money to your TW acc.
Now, I'm not sure if you're a new TW user or existing TW users.

Have you logged in and try to play around?
It's just a matter of going to the app and see what buttons are available, like switching on a new laptop / phone or booking flights for the first time.
I think I've clicked almost every button in TW in order to discover their features.

Hi all, I want to place a trade with leverage but in IB but it keep prompts error msg "order is not accepted because your Equity with Loan Value of [XXXX USD] is insufficient to cover the Initial Margin requirement of [XXXXX USD].

Any body know what does it mean? My understanding let say I have 10K Equity, then I should able to place a 40k trade with X4 leverage. Is that correct?

Hi there, which method is cheaper? Total amount required to transfer is RM11,000.

a) transfer existing $1000 SGD to IBKR + RM8000 via instarem to IBKR

b) transfer RM11,000 to IBKR via Instarem, then, withdraw the $1000 SCG to CIMB MY.

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

You can check this on your IBKR Account Management section under account type. It should read as margin if your account is as such.
Also as I understand the margin is 2X but can be as high as 4X intraday.

I've recently been trying to transfer SGD into IBKR via instarem but am having issues putting in the SWIFT code.
It just mentions the error as "no results found"

Anyone facing the same issue?

I trying to use CITISGSGXXX as provided for by IBKR when i sent in the deposit details.
I'm not sure if it's a system thing for my account as I can't even get it to auto populate suggestions of swift codes.

Hi Melvin, did the fraction part available straight in your IB trade permission section?

Meaning, whoever open through TSG won't be getting this?

I have it.
