My lights getting really dim. Often I can't even tell if the lights are on if there's a lot of traffic around. Looking to replace my Proton Saga stock bulbs (most likely Bosch) with cool white ones instead of the usual yellow. Any brands to recommend? Are those from MrDIY ok to use?

Using nightbreaker as well, so far so good

Definitely brighter and slightly "whiter" than ordinary bulbs

Avoid DIY bulbs, they are so cheap for a reason (basically knockoff of osram / Philips)

2010 Saga FL. The bulbs was last changed a little over 5 years ago. Also, which one to get? Got so many. H1, H3, H4, H7. What's the difference?

I'm suspecting that you're experiencing something more than just a bulb that is due for replacement, like blurred headlamps or bad wiring.

Maybe you can post some pictures here with the lights on.

Probably not so serious lah. My headlamps have a sticker coat that is still very clear but a got a bit hairline cracks. As for the light, it's consistent and doesn't change when driving. Obviously, when it's dark can see the light. But when park under a street lamp, then my light get drowned out.

Should be H4. You can ask the BLM/FL/FLX car club thread in car clubs forum subsection, link below:

U might wanna check the bulb sitting correctly inside holder.
From what i see on the road, some car blinding opposite car driver bcoz of the bulb sitting issue. Mostly 1 headlamp side blinding others .

And another thing, make sure headlamp alignment adjusted properly.

H1,H3 and H7 are single filament but H4 dual filaments. Opt for H4

Mind you that do not expect those high performance halogen bulb will last like your old stock bulb. For example Osram Night Breaker Laser only have around 200-250 hours of working life.
Anyway, I assume you don't really drive with headlight on much of the time because your old stock halogen bulb last 5 years notworthy.gif

Cannot lahh... During CNY when going back to hometown in Ipoh at night, can only see 2-3 car lengths in front when driving through those old curvy roads. Some parts got no street lamp so I think really need to power up.

Not wanna be an ass, but when I google most of it says H7. Guess I'll have to unplug my old ones and check.
