Just so you know, existing laws will go after the board and the chairman if something goes seriously wrong with the company. Just that whether due to political reasons you are being "protected" only. but then in politics, things can change also. so sitting on board has the risk of being jailed when things go south.

my own personal opinion, given the chance i won't even want to sit on a board or something (which i won't have just one kuli only). if i am rich, diam diam collect profit enough already instead of bearing legal risks.
