Hi guys, my 1 year old under warranty Toshiba 55U7650VM got a vertical line and Toshiba propose i top up RM200 to swap with Skyworth 55G2.
I can't decide because i never heard of Skyworth. Perhaps you guys can share with me what do you think about Skyworth or the model 55G2??

QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Sep 24 2019, 03:17 PM) Made in China by chinese holding company in HK. The features offered seems pretty good but you got to test in out in real life to know how great the picture quality will be. In fact the features is far better than my Toshiba, at least Skyworth 55G2 is Android based TV. Hmm, headache ah.

After compared the features from both websites, i decided to give Skyworth a try. The main reason is the offered model 55G2 is categorized as PREMIUM TV while my Toshiba just another normal 4K TV. Further more, Toshiba no longer have service center in Malaysia, meaning you can send back for repair already. http://www.skyworth.ph/tv-accessories/andr...roid-tv-g2.htmlhttp://toshiba.com.my/television-html/55u7650vm.html

QUOTE(azsr @ Sep 24 2019, 09:36 PM) I'm using it. It's 4k, but the when compare with other high end expensive 4k, you can see the different. Mostly on the smoothness of the video. Expensive tv have a superrior video engine. Anyway, it's still worth it. Mostly, I'm watching 4k youtube video and Netflix. Let me know wether yours come with Android 7 or 8. Mine was Android 7. Last time I try manually upgrade to Android tv 8, but the dvb tv missing and cannot play Netflix. So I downgrade back to Android 7. But the rom I'm using didn't have dvb tv.... Lol Sure, will post back here when i received the replacement.

Finally the Skyworth 55G2 arrived today, ya I know, it took more than a month 😅 So far the obvious differences i noticed: 1) android TV!! 2) slimmer bezel and body 3) brighter
Thd only downside is the speaker, the old Toshiba 55U7650VM has better sound quality. But overall im happy to pay extra rm200 swapping to Skyworth 55G2.
