Wanted to bid a lelong unit recently, but unable to attend the bid, wondering is it better to do the bid online myself or find an agent to bid for me since they won't charge us anything?

If RP of the property is 700k, and if i tell my agent my budget is up to 750k, will they purposely find someone else to join the bid and raise the price to 750k?
