These large files every day clog up my phone storage space.

Any way to get rid of these pesky stuff other than uninstalling whatsapp or throwing away my phone?

msgstore files are basically your whatsapp conversation backups. Disable the whatsapp backup feature or use the backup to Google drive option.

Even with the Google Drive back-up setting it still says "messages will still be backed up in your phone's internal storage".

settings > applications > whatsapp > clear storage and cache
login whatsapp, do not recover from backup

No way of remove it or make it change destination to memory card..

Your only choice:

Get a phone with bigger memory..32GB and above..

Set memory swipe to your memory card..need a bigger capacity..

Change to Telegram..
