Hi, im currently torn between choosing a iPad Pro or a Macbook Pro.

If i were to get a Macbook Pro it would be the lowest specs 13inch macbook pro. Im curious about the pros and cons of the 2 products. I believe the add up cost of keyboard, apple pencil etc will make an ipad pro price similar to a macbook pro?

depends on your usage really.

are you going to really utilize the pencil a lot, perhaps for drawing or extensive note takings?
if yes, then ipad pro is the one for you.

if no, then macbook Pro is much more suitable.

for me, i am a lecturer/researcher, having the pencil to annotate PDF for my research papers is quite important. and to draw some technical drawings too.
so i am going to get Ipad pro.

ipad pro is better suited as SECONDARY DEVICE, as i already have a normal desktop/ultrabook for my job.

As a laptop replacement, i don't think so, even with IpadOS.

it support proper mouse.. easier to slide through when going through eclass of my biology lesson. That alone is a very good justification for a proper mouse feature, on top of for editing and gaming purposes.

Better to use a MacBook + a 10.2 inch iPad. Best of both worlds. One can't replace the other. When Catalina is launched officially, you can connect the iPad as a second screen wirelessly and draw from the iPad. It will be a heavenly combo. :-)

Like other forumers have mentioned. It really depends on your usage.

If do lots of heavy usage such as video/photo rendering/editing, then MBP is the one.

If its just some light usage like browsing, etc then iPad Pro. Or if you do drawings etc

One cant replace another. Im sure Apple have thought about this before. Best to get both of course

Yeah. This is a good choice if one is on Budget.

The 10.2-inch bigger screen Budget iPad does look better than the old 9.7-inch.
