As far as I can understand, there are few genre within the Gundam franchises. There are those adolescent themed robot cartoons to matured war thriller themed. This is the latter one. Don't go in expecting wall to wall robot fights but more of character driven plotlines. It's still from perspective of two factions fighting each other. One kinda working in the shadow while earth federation still at ruling earth with bureaucracy of corruption. There are only two robot fights and they are depicted from ground level. Very much like the first Godzilla movie where you get to experience trails of destruction left by the behemoth. It's something you don't usually seen in Gundam. I did enjoy it very much but knowing Gundam series it will veer off to mumbo jumbo new type vs old humanity as always. Enjoy it while it last.
*
it's the UC timeline gundam, which most of the stories and plots are more matured and "adult" oriented

I would strongly recommend anyone to watch the previous UC's Gundam series in advance to understand the world, the past history and the lore leading to this Hathaway
all Gundam I, II, III, and Char's Counterattack are released recently in Netflix as well

if you got time, I recommended the Gundam Unicorn series as well, just a short 7 episodes, which is the story shortly after Char's Counterattack, but it doesn't relate much with the Hathaway

Midnight Diner is on top of my list

this is the only one series that I doesn't skip the opening

Does Netflix MY and Netflix SG share the same content due to being in the same region?

Or does Netflix SG have contents that MY doesn't have and vice-versa?
*
similar but slightly diff contents due to rights

Weird no one is talking about Lost In Space final season. The show seems to only be popular in the US.

I dropped it after 2 episodes in S1. it's too "family friendly" to me laugh.gif

Binge thru the whole Pacific Rim Black S2 in 2 sittings

a bit underwhelmed, especially Apex part, was expecting more awesome action there, but end up meh~ dry.gif

overall S1 is so much better

S2 feels like they're rushing to end the series, there are still so much stuffs they can explore, I doubt there gonna be S3

Ozark finale was ok and fitting. Glad they ended otherwise the continuation will be overreaching. I won't rate it as the best ever but still pretty darn good. Let's hope they don't resurrect this quickly or an inconsequential spinoff. Shall see will Florida Man able to repeat the success of Jason Bateman show running another crime drama.
*
this final season is a real roller coaster ride, when things seem working smoothly already then there's someone unexpected will throw a spanner in the gears

wrapped up nicely... this Bryde family really is an invasive species like what they claimed, whatever they touched won't have a good ending

the biggest psycho is this whole series is Wendy, the cartel can't even hold a candle to her

Love, Death + Robots S3 is damn good, way better than S2. I don't think there's any purely bad episode this season. Hope Netflix will do more.

Also, that Better Call Saul latest episode.....fffffffuuuuuu
*
that latest episode of BSC is a masterpiece, best episode so far

beautiful climax of the build-up from previous episodes thumbup.gif

A beautiful swansong for this final season of BSC, which I don't want it to end bye.gif

I forwarded quite a lot, but it was nice to see some old school reference hahahah

I remember watching it when I was really young
*
I actually enjoyed it a lot, got tonnes of references from other movies/series, and how the poke fun of them laugh.gif

Ugly Sonic "cameo" really making me ROTFL laugh.gif

younger kids wouldn't understand some of the references, seems they are targeted more towards older kids to uncles like us tongue.gif

The Umbrella Academy S3

So far so good after 2 episodes in, looks like they've brought in another apocalypse laugh.gif

but the changes in Ellen => Elliot in real life, and Vanya => Victor feels kinda weird... hmm.gif

I was one of the guy who criticized the changes, but after watching Ep2 and 3, I'm convinced.
The way the brought S2 storyline to link with the change is okay for me.

Anyway, Five and Klaus still the reason I watch the show, they are charismatic. I love season 3 for what it is.
*
yeah, they're the ones that carry the whole shows, without them it ain't worth watching laugh.gif

Show some love to The Boys. By any metric Umbrella Academy and Stranger Things cannot touch The Boys with a ten foot pole. Season 3 has reached the weekly GOT must watch status. It gets better with every episode.

2 episodes in Netflix's Resident Evil

so far still not liking it, story is kinda stupid and draggy, the twins are annoying, the only saving grace is Lance Reddick's performance

Seems like it's just borrowing names & concepts from the original and has nothing to do with "Resident Evil" premise name

I'll give it another episode today, if doesn't improve I'm dropping it

taking my time to slowly enjoy this masterpiece

IMO this is one of the best manga/anime to live action adaption of all time, definitely one of the top 3

been reading OP since 97 until now, was super skeptical when they first announce the project, as this is one of the most difficult live action adaption to pull off, but oh boy they proof me wrong

can't wait for future seasons, wonder how will they produce Chopper and Brooke
