This Zakir Naik is a very dangerous person. Brilliant in his arguments but unfortunately an extremist. I would think "self-righteous delusion" would be more accurate if one is to describe him (description).
Consider his 2+2=5 argument.
On the surface, his argument makes perfect sense, you don't allow teachers who teach 2+2=5, you only recognize teachers who teach 2+2=4. That is correct.
But this is where it all goes wrong, when he use that analogy to justify why muslims can build mosques in non-muslim countries but non-muslims cannot build other houses of worship in muslim countries.
See, every educated person in the world will unanimously agree 2+2=4 is right and 2+2=5 is wrong. No matter muslims, christians, hindus, buddhists, flying spaghetti monster, jediism, etc, all will unanimously agree that is undeniable truth. But what ZN doing here is hijacking the "undeniable truth" of the analogy and project it into Islam to mislead and imply Islam is unanimously agreed by the whole world that it is right and all other faiths are wrong.
He conveniently ignores the fact that followers of other religion also thinks their faith is the correct one i.e. 2+2=4
You think this is not so? Let's use some simple common sense logic... if you are Religion A and you think Religion B is the truth and Religion A is false, would you still remain in Religion A? Would you not convert to Religion B? The fact that people all over the world practising all different kinds of religion as well as atheists, that shows that no religion in the world is unanimously agreed as the undeniable truth.
So what should have been done? Either we all live harmoniously with our differences or we start killing each other until only 1 victor remains, the victor will have his faith unanimously agreed (by whats left of the world) as the truth. Now this is clear that non-muslim countries are practising the former (live harmoniously with our differences) when they allow mosques to be built, but ZN is advocating the latter (deny them and force them to accept only our version is the truth) when he justifies muslim countries do not allow other houses of worship to be built.
And that is why he is dangerous, as he is an educated extremist. He radicalize you subtly instead of those ISIS-screaming-for-blood styles which we are more familiar with when describing an extremist.
And we get people like bani_prime (and also few other forummers) hero worshipping and sees nothing wrong with zn
