Yeah i think so too, maybe he gave me a mate 30 (not pro) glass, or even gave me a cheapo brand but charge me for a blueO. Anyway I went for Tmax from Sakurazz and I must say it's perfect, and the after sales service is also the best la. Only thing is I need to travel to kepong for his service.

indeed i also became lazy n went for a nearer option, end up having more 'work' to do, and u know la usually shop staff vs individual service like sakurazz is different level, shop staff just wanna get it done that's it. next time just go for Tmax for peace of mind lol

Lol yeah couldn't agree more, I had past experiences of spending more than 40min just to get a screen protector (last time tempered glass not so popular) installed then the result is just meh...but i usually just have to accept it otherwise need to spend another 40min again. I think Sakurazz installed a dozen more times than those shop staff so he is of coz more experienced and dependable right now. I will keep that in mind for my next phone

actually sideloading GMS is not difficult and worth all the effort. I tried to adapt to no-GMS for few hours already suffer a lot from can't find my passwords to where are all my photos to non-google app crashing (!!!) like Amazon photos crash without reason (alamak).

After GMS is installed, i can now enjoy the phone to the fullest, I especially (always) liken the battery on Huawei flagship phones and the everything run smoothly with the powerful kirin 990 , also the virtual volume buttons is not an issue for me, so all good!

Only drawback is google contact sync still not working so I using Huawei contacts now.

I think it will get harder to sideload gms as Huawei (probably more from google) updates its firmware. Like p40 series you need to downgrade firmware with Hisuite first before able to sideload Unlike last year you probably can one click install GMS

Can you all try download Smart Selangor Parking from AppGallery, do you get a popup regarding google location not able to use?

I guess without AOD? Turn that on and it will be 5-8% at night lol But still better than semsung

Wah nice find, so it's the GP services that is draining my battery (apart from AOD). Maybe I can freeze GPS at night hahaha

Looks like since the 13th of September no one is being able to log into their Google accounts from banned Huawei devices (except Mediapad M6 users, apparently).

I didn't think I'm so attached to GMS until I actually use it without lol
The apps that I can't live without are Google photos, google keep, drive and chrome (I stored hundreds of auto-fill passwords in google so I don't have to remember my username/password and it works for most of my apps too, which is convenient), oh yeah not to forget Pushbullet, it's my No.1 goto app for every phone to sync all my sms and keep my random notes and it somehow can't work without GMS
For the rest, I can live with alternatives, but having GMS just feels more complete with Android.

My friend also bought a jersey on shopee on 9.9 and it's still in transit today with Ninjavan. I bought the same jersey on lazada and got it the second day 10.9 so I think there is a serious prob with Ninjavan now.

For those who has GMS + aurora store (enabled for notification), I recommend to freeze or disable Play store because it will tremendously increase battery life! I get 7 hours before (with GMS) and now around 9++ hours after freezing Playstore (even with AOD on).

That's one of the apps i face issues, even with GMS, you need to download/use the foodpanda *from* Appgallery instead of sideload it from other sources eg. petal search. Otherwise you will get gms error when using the app. But the one from AppGallery works just fine without such issue.

As a matter of fact I always prefer virtual buttons over physical buttons lol, because I had bad experience in the past that my physical buttons drop out.

I'm using GMS and can search/download petal maps from AppGallery. And i find that Petal maps works faster than Google maps and even have Navigation, works great too!
