Well, all manufacturers claims their fast charging wont shorten the lifespan of the battery, including Huawei. I don't charge my devices using specific chargers though, so Im usually on the normal charger on normal charging.
*
So jaga battery!
Fast charging do induce more heat then usual.
Come come share pictures taken with your phone. Make me jealous haha. My boss keep sharing screenshot of his phone but he dont know install YouTube app. He share with YouTube web .

For my kimchi phone I usually turn off the fast charging option and use stock charger. If I need fast charging I enable back the option

actually was thinking of getting airpods (the old generation one) as this is the type she wanted but huawei free buds is got newer technology haha thats why still thinking on which one to buy

whut buds + is bad ah ? haven't read anything about it yet
*
Android then freebuds should have better integration compared to airpods

No la I trolling u. Should be on par or better based on the design. They add things they were lackluster in the previous design such as microphone for better call quality. The previous one got horrible call quality.

A different interface of course. But its a similar process.
*
Nice at least they are not like xiaomi. The pairing experience is so bad the only reason I use them is because it's cheap and I wanted to try wether I like wireless or not which I did alot haha

Cant doubt that. No matter how good the wired earphones are, you can beat the convenience of going wireless. Especially when you are in cramped places like the trains or airplane.
*
no going back to wired. my main driver now also dont have headphone jack hahaha.

wireless headphones are chasing up . maybe not in terms of latency the rest quite good already

I give up looking the solutions for this.
I understand ur question.

In IOS, u can view and download media received in whatsapp and it WONT SAVE in gallery. U need to manually SAVE the picture and will appear in gallery.

But in Android, when u view and download media u received in whatsapp, it will create folder in gallery. Once view and download it will auto save in gallery.

I like IOS more, when someone send u ehem ehem picture it wont show in gallery. What ever happened in whatsapp, stay in whatsapp. Android can easily kantoi because it will auto save picture in gallery.
*
if u dont wan save to ur gallery then u can untick media visibility under the chats setting.
so when u download pic or video in whatsapp it will be in ur whatsapp private folder wont appear in gallery.
however u cant save in gallery. if u wan find it u need to back to that folder to find the particular pic.
example u wan share the pic without forwarding.
its more tedious

I bought the Mate 30 partly because of the support we need to give to Huawei, to keep them going. But if they don't buckle up on their HMS or their workaround for GMS, I'm not going to buy another device until they have sorted out this issue.
*
nice.
i left due to it to be honest.

oh well im stuck with samseng for now.
not sure i can move back or not on the next time i change my phone.

i miss the battery life huawei can provide. every phone got its pros and cons anyway

Ah... the tested and reliable Samsung.  nod.gif Maybe you could try Oneplus for your next adventure.
*
lets how the next or next next interation of one plus can convert me
now my vote is still for note.
tho the battery life is abit disappointing

QUOTE(spaceman @ Aug 4 2020, 06:16 PM)
Yeah i'm tempted to try another Huawei flagship just because of their battery life is so good. I used to be with P30 pro which has good battery life AND GMS support, somehow sold it and now stuck with S10 (company phone).
*
battery good just that hmm the way they force close app is a bummer

I wonder if they would cut the price this much if it had GMS?
*
to be honest i doubt so.
doing this at 2k also kills their midrange line up .
probably want to finish off their inventory.
their business in smartphone side is getting bleak.
even having problems with displays now.
their competitor note10+ is still staying strong near 3k range.

2k is abit too much to be honest.
not even 1 midrange phone can compete with this phone at 2k.

TBH good camera, battery life and great processor.

I’ve conditioned myself not to expect constant and consistent security patches before buying this phone laugh.gif

Oh another downside of china phone. Security patches Abit weak.

I think not really important to most users tho

Ya, with the exception of OnePlus and Samsung flagships,  I don't think other Android phones are very up to date with security patches, although Realme is pleasantly surprising me. My Redmi Note 7 was on Jan 2020 update and my Poco F2 Pro was on March 2020 update when  I disposed of both phones in July this year.
*
not sure about oneplus but samsung really not bad.
every month sure gt update. they stepping up their sofware game this year.

i use china phone since mi3. 3-4 months one update counted not bad la hahaha!
in general shouldnt be much issue la. ppl complaning about security and safety usually common ppl shouldnt have to worry much.
unless got nakkid selfie ke hahha

Hi, thinking to try huawei.. My current phone is Samsung s8, I have tried Iphone x as my daily driver as well...

I am looking forward to try mate 30 pro... around 2400 for new set.

-can this phone last me 5 years without severe lag etc?
-worth getting at this 2021 when mate 50 is coming out this year?
-software update (major ones) is it for a long period of time?
-GMS once installed. It will work exactly with a normal android right? with google calender and all
*
Just sharing with you.
I having mate 9 (bought in January 2017 so its 4 years now)
secondary phone now.
No problem with performance. almost the same since day 1.

-software update is stuck at android 9
