How we usually did it was we would swaddle them up first and place them flat on the bed. It isn't a requirement to put the baby on his or her side. Easier if both mum and dad are around, then one hold and the other sprays then it is time to get busy with the Nose Frida.I must say It was extremely challenging to put him on his side, than put in the spray in his nose and make sure he doesn't move !
