Read the manga, didn't know it had an anime.
Vastly prefer Cage of Eden for this sort of theme.

You might like Green Worldz and Dragon Head if you like this sort of theme, Kyochuu Rettou was too exploitative.
Still Eden no ori aka Cage of Eden is nice for the survival with animals/monster kind of theme.
