What the f*** is the difference of all these standards? I watch couple youtube video but still confused as hell.

So, do a nvme drive actually use a pcie slot (like graphic card )?but how come the nvme drive got such a small pin ?

Then what is the m.2 ?

=_= so, which is the best performance?

Do any of you have pictures of each of them and kind enough to explain to me ?

nvme is the protocol
m.2 / pcie is the socket type
m.2 ssd form factor is smaller than pcie type ssd
performance is comparable if both is nvme

Thanks, do you have some picture of the pcie type ssd ?smile.gif

Actually I accidentally bought a itx board instead of a atx board. =_=

I wonder if it can support my future need. Seems it has 1 pcie slot only . Does it means I can only plug in graphic card but not pcie ssd ?
I bought a aorus I wifi pro .

Forget Pcie. You only have one which your gpu will use.
you have 4sata which can connect to 4 2.5in ssd or 3.5in hdd up to you.

you have one m.2 slot (under the silver plate with the aorus marking)
you can slot in either:
m.2 ssd (500 speed) or
m.2 nvme (3500-1800 speed)

nvme>ssd>hdd
(3500-1800)>500>150(i think) speeds

C drive should at min ssd

recommended nvme
samsung 870 evo plus (almost best of the best)
adata xpg 8200pro (fast value for money)

recomended ssd
2.5in crucial mx500

nvme to ssd for game loading maybe faster 7secs so you wont really feel it.
If your app read write a lot like video editing then you will appreciate the extra speed.
