hi s500 owners! got my hands on this phone today and it's great!
the slide, to me, is ok, not that bad as i thot when i read here previously.
the buttons may be fragile, but i cant see how it can be broken. hopefully it does stay the same. the look is awesome, but some sad comment is that there is no pause button on the side of the phone, and no radio..
overall very satisfied with this phone.. well price will well drop over the weeks but i got it now and that's all i want.

got it for rm1250 with 1gb sandisk memory. ori set. im sure you can get it a bit cheaper - the sales person did well enough to earn my $. good set but with basic functionality, the look of it is great, i am sure ur wife will like the look of it! (i am a male btw and love it as well )
not sure about U600 so cant really comment... :|

arsenalmania, sorry to hear that your keypad cracked.. i am keeping my fingers crossed that mine would last longer..
yeah it is a fingerprint magnet.. cant clean especially the area between the screen and the phone..
and 1 more thing, i havent setup my gprs yet! phone not recognise... sigh.. urs done?

guys i have used it for 12 day, so far so goood.. and i got 1 surprise today.. all the with my phone's theme "everchanging", i saw blue, green and blue + green lights. then today suddenly i got purple lights. well maybe that's normal already for you guys.. but today i first time see it.. surprised and happy bout it. at first thought of ditching this for the w580 but now... i think this is nicer in it's way.

oh.. cracked already? well hope you can fix it soon... mine is week 26 so i guess i fall into the danger-zone. but so far still ok.. *cross my fingers*
anyway juz to reiterate, the phone is still superb... no wrong choice made..

1 month using the phone, everyday carefully taking care of the keypad, alas, the #4 is cracked now.
want to check with you, you change yours by yourself or by warranty? if is a manufacturer defect, should be able to claim right? mine is thorus set... help!!
