ts is one weird character

buy a good suv, want use golf gti as benchmark, as if power wise nearing or exceed gti can be syiok sendiri in dream

padahal power only 228 in malaysia trim, keep boosting 250hp from wikipedia page

new cars have unprecedented freshness, but wanna keep dragging pre-reg to first hand ownership status

later after buy, massive disappointment, how??

only downside is that it's a 2500 cc car thus need to pay more expensive road tax, plus there are so many CX5s running on the road, its difficult to differentiate the turbo AWD variant to the entry level variant. So the bling factor is abit on the low side.

huh?
got people drive cx5 already still wanna flex the top spec variant meh?

better to be sleeper and quiet, and speed off later in driving mah laugh.gif

That is due to the heavy body 1980kg, and the high ratio on the 1st gear.

On normal driving, we call it rolling acceleration, that is where the 440NM torque shine.

Yes, 0-100km/h is not impressive I must say.  But on the move, I got may Jap's cars pee on their pants during my trip to Segamat via federal single lane road  tongue.gif .  Once chasing a RX300 2.0Turbo the fella had no answer when I whacked pass him at 190km/h and continue to surge up to 210km/h top speed.

And the 2.2 diesel is quite frugal, can do 12-13km per litre on normal driving.  On NSE, can do 14-16km per litre easily.

road tax extra rm30 per month is trivial. when buyer are paying close to 3k for installment

that depends on personal opinion. many ppl prefer to have obvious visible hint for top spec such as different rims and body trim

I mean you already got raw stats already on paper. Why not test drive them both to see other qualities of the car?

Such as ride quality, suspension behaviour, NVH, seat legroom, boot space, etc. Even consider things like known faults of the car, maintenance costs, etc.

If all you want to do is rempit to 200kmh then you might as well buy a sporty hatchback like the golf GTi you mentioned. Still lose to Myvi on highway.

FYI the Cx5 rear legroom has always been on the small side, something to consider if you always carry passengers. Not as small as CX3 though.

Fair point on the rear legroom.

the CX5 loses to the CRV in that department.

Then again the GLC250 also loses to the CRV on the rear legroom.... (using my butt dyno here)

i know cx5 has high compression skyactiv engine

but if local site and bermaz advertised 228hp, i take it as it is, surely it will run on malaysia's ron95, 97 and even ron100

i know globally it most probably made 250hp so that's how you assumed that possibility

250hp is unsubstantiated yet, but i will concede because who knows, maybe the engine will adapt to higher octane fuel

but also i was so puzzled when i read about ron98 in cx5 thread, not sure if that's true because there are holes in your story, your facts feel loose, i knew ron98 is available in singapore

your replies are so assertive, i really want to believe it but it has to come with some ironclad data

pre reg is after all one vehicle that's been owned before, the price you paid is the result of depreciation so dont taunt it as brand new car and treat it like a used car

because you would be second owner on paper and we are not trying to be pedantic and screw you over with this technical difference, you are second owner because it has been thoroughly used, it just looked brand new after some clean up

less than 1k mileage is just a marketing purpose, the engine would already have been run in not matter what

not just pre-reg x1 might let you down, cx5 is a damn good car but can disappoint you if you benchmark it to golf gti in your head

we are all replying you gently and cordially here, please be grateful

if x1 is available in your price point, the only good it has is its bmw marque, a german luxury brand,
when compared to cx5, it still lacks in most other aspects,
but mazda itself is an upcoming luxury brand as well, cx5 excels impressively as an suv

so cx5 turbo it is...
