AFAIK, hmm.gif News app only for beta / U.S region, if you mean now missing on new phone, you can try setting your region to U.S in Settings

this wireless transfer between device will get you redownload apps, thats why fast, only settings/app data is transfer to new device, it is not really transferring 70GB from your existing device
