QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Jan 21 2020, 02:30 PM) impressed with da build quality... Agreed. Urvoi metal band quality really outstanding for the asking price.*i know that tempered glass sp.. reduces the screen size.. but with my kids.. chasing after them.. holding them.. etc.. its bound to get scratch... These 2 are my favourite bands. The new waterproof/water resistant Nomad leather pretty comfortable and better than their traditional strap. Too bad the brown is too much grey when compared to their modern strap. |

Folks, would like to get advice as dont have experience dealing with Switch service support.
Currently my S5’s screen have quite a number of hairline scratches hence plan to make use the Switch protection plan to claim for new screen. So is it only until it crack then only can claim or we can just walk-in to service center and submit claim for iit (similar as car’s windscreen and Samsung screen protection plan)? Anyone can advice. Thanks. |

QUOTE(tru.shyne @ Aug 8 2020, 06:29 PM) Depends but for me seems needed. I dont use screen protetcor, hence my screen have hairline scratces here and there. So i guess better to have. The case need as to protect the curve screen area as it seems fragile. Last time when im using OG Huawei Watch, Gear S2, and S3 Frontier, dont need any of these case/sp. Gear S3 and OG Huawei Watch until hardly have any hairline scractes despite abuse of usage (esepcially S3 frontier). |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Aug 12 2020, 03:13 PM) The last time i've spoken to the guy from Machines (i suppose should be the same as Switch), he say must completely crack or not-usable only can claim for 1-1 exchange with my Machines Protection Plan (i think i paid RM 259 for it when I purchased my Series 5). Thanks for the feedback man Alang alang scratches or bumps cannot exchange. p/s he say I can intentionally destroy it if i want to make the claim. (Don't try if not needed haha) Best to just walk in Switch and ask lor Ziet Inv liked this post

QUOTE(Susuwatari @ Sep 2 2020, 05:39 PM) Im using aw5 ss version (my set) but unfortunately still have few hairline scratches on its so called sapphire crystal despite pretty careful. If its really sapphire crystal, surely this is the lousiest sapphire crystal glass on watch that i ever had. None of my traditional watches that came with sapphire have hairline scratches. Even those traditional watches with mere normal glass also dont have issue. El cheapo smartwatches like OG Huawei Watch, Gear S2 and Gear S3 don’t have any scratches on its display (perhaps bezel design on gear did help) after all this years. Now end up putting UV glass on the sapphire crystal. Lol This post has been edited by squall_kay: Sep 5 2020, 10:53 AM |

QUOTE(vez @ Sep 5 2020, 10:43 AM) thats the reason stopping me from getting SS version Too bad, i missed out this video when doing the purchase. Too much excited for getting 1st AW. Haha. Other than the hairline scratches, the watch serves me well 😊sapphire Mohs scale of mineral hardness is at 9, of course this does not translate directly when it is process to become glass, mixing some other substance to make glass |
