its da celular. my wife 40 no cel.. last almost twice as long

Actually come to think of it, you pay more for the cellular inclusive of mobile plan, but the battery is far worst for normal use.

Just thinking that Apple should really make the cellular version longer lasting in terms of battery efficiency because the battery drain really deters one from using the cellular function.

Its a good feature, but the battery drain really make me think twice of using it often.

Cellular version is good for travel or on the go usage.

One thing is no need to connect to iphone hotspot. Save the battery for ur iphone.

Secondly, using iPad as hotspot is good becos iPad has huge battery, it will be way comfortable than using iPhone as hotspot due to the battery life.

Lastly, if u go overseas and u buy overseas SIM card, u can put inside iPad to use and share connections to ur other devices without swapping out the main SIM card from ur iphone. Of course if you have newer iPhones that come with dual sim will be different story.
*
I'm using the 11Pro Max version, but hardly ever use dual-sim except when travelling like you mentioned. Problem is, its hard to find e-sim for other countries tongue.gif Most of the time will resort to remote wifi like Roamingman.

I find if I switch of the noise monitoring function, the battery doesn't drain so fast. Certainly lasts the day easily. Yes, I've the LTE version.

Apple Watch App > Noise > Environmental Sound Measurements (slider to off)
*
Turned it off since Day 1 lol. Redundant app for me.

For my case its probably the LTE + AM Streaming + Workout app running hence the battery drain.

Is it worth to buy Nike loops? Rm199 kinda expensive. Worth the price? The oem one only like fraction of the price.
*
If you're into velco straps, sure.

It's way better looking than the rubber ones for sure.

Just install as per normal, the rim will sit on the TG. I think you probably tried to fit the rim around the TG 😅

Here’s how it looks like. I’ve been changing colors on the rims and case never popped out before.

Does the rim fit snug? When I tried installing the rim, it doesn't sit well on the TG, edges popping out a little

Went on Reddit to get inspiration on watch faces - ended up getting poisoned with the SS20 collection from Nike. Pulled the trigger and here it is. Looks good in person.

I doubt his unit is local MY unit.

I went to the Heart settings to setup and it stated ECG is not available in Malaysia yet.

Malaysia is not even on this list: https://www.apple.com/my/watchos/feature-av...ty/#branded-ecg

Yes, as long as your iPhone is updated to iOS13.4, your watch can be updated to WatchOS6.2
in the meantime,if your Apple ID has been activated in a supported country before, you can activate it immediately.
if not just bring your watch to supported countries activate or the nearest country is Singapore or go JB border roaming SG telco to activate, should work.
or borrow your friend ’s activated Apple ID to login and go to setting >iCloud just sync health data to your iPhone.

Right, with the current MCO doesn't seem possible to move around.

Tried switching to my SG account, doesn't seem to work. Oh well.

Hoho 2 months in my AW5 and I noticed a hairline scratch on the screen, a fine scratch but nothing too serious.

Currently rocking bare glass with Rhinoshield Crashguard. Think I probably need to get a wet application screen protector now 🤣

Bought it from Shopee... local seller too

Yea worried of scratches so I had the hydro gel, replaced once already after 3 months of use due to a knock on a glass door that cannot be "cured". Normal scratches will just fade away after a day on the hydro gel's surface... u still get the smooth touch on this but may see some wrinkles under some reflections.

I'm quite gentle with my watch collections so I'm ok to use it naked... you should consider a case if u r not haha! My dad manage to scratched his apple watch badly in just a week time while waiting for his hydro gel to arrive... was surprised the scratch marks would disappear under the cover of the hydrogel as well... highly recommended!

Just to take note that some cases may not work with the hydrogel or any screen protector as they can be too tight...
*
I got a hairline scratch while waiting for my Hydrogel 🤣

My reco to others if they are planning to get it, buy 2 boxes. Installation is hard as hell - never faced such a complicated screen protector installation. But overall its a decently priced protection and fits well on my Rhinoshield also.

Got my ECG activated through this guy from Shopee ECG Activation

If you are interested, I'd recommend the own ID creation method - meaning you give the seller a dummy Apple ID that you create for him to activate. Basically just need around 20mins to sign in and sign out from your phone and its done. Very simple tongue.gif

thanks for sharing the reliable seller and the better method to activate it. Hate to do it the wrong way and then resetting it.
*
Yeah I read about those requiring to reset / restore etc, I wouldn't want to do that. This method is so much better.

Thank you for your support! Enjoy your ecg broo
Definitely it will work, as the seller that you shared basically took my entire script and method to resell.
*
Oh you're here too! Seems like I keep bumping into you on various forums (reddit etc) tongue.gif

So you're saying the 'other' seller only appeared after you and copied your method? Damn, cheap move.

with an apple watch gps+cellular model, without a telco service plan, that apple watch still can make emergency sos call to emergency department and their family?

that emergency sos call only to be use when fall detection? how about when heart atack/abnormal heart rate? will it doing the same?
*
If I am not mistaken, you'll need a telco plan, or at least a connectivity either via wifi or bluetooth to your iPhone.

I know where you are coming from, but in order to use / maximize the potential of an Apple Watch, you'll need an iPhone to do so.

Wow, that's good to know actually. So you mean that you are able to see the ECG app in your MY AW when you are in SG? Because the "activation" of the ECG functionality actually happens when you open the app. It was previously not possible for Malaysia AW simply because we cannot find the app anywhere on our watch.

Here's some screenshot from iOS 14 beta:
In Health App, open your profile, select Health checklist:
[attachmentid=10522291]

This will list down all the features available to you:
[attachmentid=10522290]

EDIT: ECG functionality is still there on my AW though, not sure how Apple will handle this as we move nearer to iOS 14 release (somewhere Sept)
*
Hmm my stated ECG is active - no mentioned of unavailable for region. I’m on iOS14 Beta + WatchOS 7 Beta as well.

Okay so WatchOS7 is now live - a couple of new watch faces added from the Beta OS7.

Not much of a difference for me because I came from Beta 1 until the final Beta. For those who are new to Sleep Tracking and how to maximize your watch’s battery to utilize the sleep function is to charge it before sleep.

My watch takes about 1.5 - 2 hours to be fully charged and always 100% by the time I go to bed. By morning, my battery will be around 92-93% to start the day. This is usually sufficient for me to last the whole day since I only use the Workout App for my workouts and the rest is just standard notifications and looking at time / schedule.

I switched off the handwash feature, personally find it irritating.

Has anyone tried any 3rd party wireless chargers with their Apple Watch that still works?

I noticed manufacturers like Nomad stopped producing the wireless puck for the Apple Watch, instead just giving a ‘charging adapter’ for you to slot in the actual Apple Watch charging puck.
