Hi All,

Since windows 7 is coming to an end of support,
I plan to upgrade to windows 10. If i change to windows 10, does all my driver will come out some faulty or error affected ?

Please advise

Your machine specs? It should work just fine unless you have some very old hardware icon_idea.gif

If you wish to upgrade - use the media creation tool here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

Go check with your respective hardware manufacturer website for Windows 10 support. Nowadays many of them should have Windows 10 driver support listed as an option to download from their official website.

I would rather, you stick to win 7 still
as, win 10 need a lot of HDD space, to install
Don't be worry of the eol update support..
&, please list down your full spec here..
Then, we give you further guidance...

Just fresh install win10. Make sure you backup your data & documents first.
After finish win10 installation, install driver booster or drivermax pro, it could get latest driver for your old hardware.
If had budget, upgrade your HDD to SSD & make sure your RAM 8GB or more to run win 10 smooth & fast. thumbup.gif

I think there is no more free upgrade from win 7 to win 10
Any one know how to get a free update ?

i did update my win 7 to 10 during the free offer period.
my display LG resolution went wrong and i could not adjust/fix it .. probably driver problem.
so i fallback to win 7 .

i dont mind trying again as i have other displays unit to try now.

yes can try . seems in the comments a few guys were successful.

i guess one way is to swap out the system drive HD ( do not delete any files ,yet ) with the new SSD .
Clean install Win 10 on SSD . check for Activated win 10 . and do test simple checks that all is functional.

then next depends if you have a desktop or laptop.

How your PC spec? Do you have SSD? Window 10 so slow/lag without SSD.
I have no problem upgrade from Window 7 Ultimate to Window 10 Pro.
Bu using official tool : https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
You can try.

All my driver/data remain. No problem for my case.

Can you run a speccy https://www.ccleaner.com/speccy and publish your system spec?

Not all old mobo can support windows 10 though

If you have a fairly recent machine (from 2008), it should work fine with Windows 10 icon_idea.gif

The rule of thumb here is - if your machine can run Windows Vista/7 reasonably, then your machine should have no issues running Windows 10 (Note that Windows 10 has even lower requirements than Vista, with only exception is the requirement of additional CPU instruction sets)

I used to run Windows 10 64 bit on a dual core Pentium E5200+4GB DDR3+integrated graphics (DG41WV) machine and it worked just fine icon_idea.gif

I know and I had done that before, but that is before UEFI era. We can't be 100% sure his mobo can run windows 10 by support all the devices onboard now. That's why I need to have a look at his speccy.
