Anyone using component cable for Wii ? would like to know what brand/where you got it and hows the performance.
Yesterday i saw at gurney plaza retails around RM40.

Playasia has it for 9.99USD but not sure about the quality since its 3rd party

i'm using 3rd party component cable, the quality is slightly better, especially the white colour,
normal "yellow" cable provide dark white colour (picture), but component can delivers better quality of pic,
RM35-40 is good price, go and get lar .

Where did you buy your cable ?

i know component is 10x better than composite but need to judge which brand is better. my dealer wanted to sell this no brand component cable to me in a plastic bag and the cables were REALLY THICK! thicker than your normal PC power cables! RM70!

I'm using it also.

There's a LOT of difference from the regular composite output. Mine are third party as well but they're also REALLY thick!

Well, ive just ordered the 3rd party component from play asia. will post some screenshots when i get it .

Added on July 24, 2007, 9:17 amGuess what gang? my order of the nintendo wii and nunchuck + wii and ps2 component cable is now being held in custom butterworth.

They classified my order under DVD and asking me to show my invoice and AP if any!

shit right ?

OK! Finally got my stuff. had to pay CUKAI of 10%, since gaming controllers are classified under gaming or remote control....damn....
anyways, back to the cable - picture quality is better but suprisingly, some text, especially around the corners are still bit blur. probably have something to do with how THIN the cable is....

I have to disagree. Spent one whole afternoon in Sungai Wang looking for first party nintendo component cables. Got the same 'buy third party' same lor excuse, someone trying to sell me 'bootleg' first party nintendo ones and one crazy RM 190 quote. Finally got the from Cineleisure at a really really good price!

I had third party component cables b4 (thanks to shop in cineleisure free ooh thumbup.gif ) but was still not satisfied with the jaggies on the lcd... after seeing GOW on 720p all the time 480p looks kinda crap... with the Nintendo cables the picture quality is significantly better. I would recommend nintendo cables ONLY. The price difference is not that great either. wub.gif

Still, the sound and video cables 'split' isn't long enough to connect to the tv and amp - you will need to buy extensions from ace hardware to connect to your amp.
