Just collected my car last night after upgrading the sound system. Total damage RM13K+. Overall quite pleased with the sound quality especially the stereo image, front stage and clarity of the sound. Really pickup the little details not heard before. My only comment is the mid tone is a little bright maybe because the speakers are still new and stiff. Will let them gradually break-in and see whether the sound will soften after a month or two.

Head Unit: Retain Stock Unit
DSP & AMP: Helix P Six DSP
Front: Ground Zero (3-way active)
Sub: Nakamichi Under-seat Active Sub
Sound Proofing: 4 Doors

Don't think it's considered a ripped off as I have checked the item prices before engaging them. I roughly know the cost if I were to buy the items myself. I have ran businesses in SG for decades before retiring and my prices and pm ain't low either. You need good pm to sustain a business and so do they. I can roughly estimate their pm and considered the time spent, item cost, professionalism, workmanship and quality of the setup, I don't see it as a ripped off. Anyway, they are a reputable car audio installer and I can see cars queuing at their shop waiting for installation.

haha, good excuse for your self..... good if you think it is reasonable, but for a lay man. it is very expensive and imo, the money spent can be used to buy a better car.

Not an excuse as I was a businessman before and I know. Anyway, owned better cars before in sg and also don't think it's worth the money besides the coe. ☺

Hi bro, what do you think of Helix P Six DSP? Is it worth the investment?

I know this Helix is very expensive. But it is made in Germany.

Yes, it's very good...definitely worth the investment. Not many DSP with amp able to output 120W rms per channel...mostly in the range of 60+ to 80+ rms per channel. Moreover this Helix comes with 64-bit resolution and 96KHz sampling rate. I can hear so much details in the songs when playing 24-bit flacs.

Firstly, you do not need to invest in this Helix if your speakers do not require such power. Secondly, you have more options if your car has the space. My original intention is to have a DSP (Helix DSP.2 or Hertz H8) plus 2 four channel amps (Precision Power ICE1600.4) but my car only have 2 spaces available for the installation which is the space under the driver's and front passenger's seats. You will have more options to lower the cost if your car has the space to accommodate 2 amps at the boot.

I guess I will stick to this Helix P Six DSP for a long time...but will consider upgrading the speakers in the future.
