I have this tenant with a year contract. He wanted to move out but there is still 3 months contract remaining. To not forfeit the deposit (2 months), he stopped payment rental in the 3rd last month saying he want it to be offset from deposit.
Conversation turns bad and he is now saying not gonna paid anymore. What options do I have? My agent said u can disconnect water and electricity supply. Is that legal? Should I make a police report too before doing so?
I have few tenants before but never encounter such bad, unreasonable one. I suspect he is having financial issue now since he is moving to another place with deposit paid.
I would think set a meeting with him now. Ask him what date he wants to end and settle on an inspection date. Try to come to agreement on further payment. If not paying up the third last month, tenant can move out. Focus on finding a new tenant.Conversation turns bad and he is now saying not gonna paid anymore. What options do I have?
