They still use the word "Unlimited data" in their web sites and promotions. It should be "Unlimited basic data + 100gb high speed data". Technically, "Unlimited basic data" is still considered as "Unlimited data", but it's very misleading. People will think that it's high speed unlimited data all the time.
Yeah it's just RM30, you could go and buy another SIM, but it's a bad practice and misleading campaign by umobile. This could bring bad publicity for them.

I love U Mobile because they always disrupt the telco business with good offers. Meaning other telco cannot "duduk diam" and had to give good offer also. Except for Celcom because they're king, they don't care to lose their user.
If only U Mobile were honest about their 100gb download limit. It would be easy for user to manage their data consumption if U Mobile tell early on that there is a limit to their Unlimited plan. Then user would not playing youtube videos almost 24 hours everyday because they thought their data is unlimited.
I think most of the user who got speed capped because they don't know there is a download limit. "Unlimited" is very powerful word and misleading.

Electric car user had something called "range anxiety" which is the fear of how far they could go before their battery run out or when the battery will run out. Same thing happen with mobile data user, they had this "quota anxiety". When watching videos or opening social media pages with lots of photos and videos, they worry whether they had enough quota or when the quota will run out. "Should I watch this video or should I save my data for something important?"For the past 5 months I had been free of this quota anxiety with U Mobile unlimited plan. But now the anxiety is return after knowing of this unwritten rule, though the scale of anxiety is reduced because of the 100gb limit. Now I check my usage at least once a day and limit my usage to 3gb per day. 3gb X 30 days = 90gb No more watching youtube to your heart's content.

QUOTE(ohman @ Sep 25 2019, 07:36 AM) 7 years ago i paid rm100 for 10gb digi I used to pay 10 sen for 10KB. I think lot of people got black listed by telco because they can't afford to pay thousands ringgit bills when they accidentally open data on their phone.
