Hello everyone,
my situation is quite peculiar but I wanted to get some insight from people who might have been in the same situation, or able to provide some guidance.

I am a french citizen, 37yo, and I lived & worked in Malaysia for about 5 years for a multinational company from 2014 to 2018 (with an employment pass).
I never passed my french drivers license because I worked mostly abroad between 20ish and now (china, uk, etc.) and felt the need to get it when I was living and Malaysia.
Thus I passed my license all the way, as a normal malaysian citizen, from start to finish and got it in 2017. The adress on the license is the office where I worked for the multinational company. I drove in Malaysia until my departure last March 2019.
Now I'm back in France and started working in my native country, but I am facing an issue : I thought about converting my Malaysian license to a French license and discovered that since July 2019, all conversions between french and malaysian licenses are not valid anymore since malaysian authorities decided to stop converting french licenses to malaysian licenses.

I am now in possession of a valid malaysian drivers license (card valid until July 2021), with my old employers adress (I do not work for them anymore) and living in France (I do not own a malaysian bank account/home adress anymore).

I am currently using an international driving permit that I did from abroad, which is valid till july 2020, and I am pretty sure I can renew it at least every year until my drivers license card is expired, but what about then ? Am I allowed to indefinitely renew my drivers license without an adress/bank account in Malaysia? And my international driving license? Can I still use my old employers adress on it in the renewal process at the JPJ office ?

Sorry for the extremely poorly written message, but I couldn't find any information related to my situation online.

Thank you for your help and have a great day smile.gif
