hahah same here. I find the noise-cancelling more practical use for me than the bluetooth, plus the price difference.....
hv no regrets choosing S series, the NC is very useful esp for frequent travelers.  cool.gif

But source wise both are similar ?

Hi, my GF just gave me back my NWZ-A826 series, i tested with ATH-SQ5 and HD 218 headphones. What i discovered is that when i increase the volume level to 20, the volume of the headphones stops at there when i continue increase it to near max. What's seems the problem? frequency or impedance or the watts that stops it to increase the volume? By the way , this 2 headphone only max to 32Ohm power

Check ur player, make sure you din limit the volume.

Checked twice, i did not limit the volume. Even in the 60% of the volume, the sounds actually isolates the external sound but i need to test whether high the volume can get to .

hi sifus...is there a good mp3 player less than rm300... that has good sound without any DSP... like those clear bass, megabass and all.

i want something that sounds great without the need of any sound enhancement. cause for me those sound enhancement destroys the sound.
plus i get quite good earphones later i wont need those enhancements

I recommend u to add some bucks to it for Sony A or S series or Cowon d2 or sansa clip? Bare in mind that cowon has a slightly "colder" soundstage. However, a portable source won't perform as what we expected without an sound enhancement like a full source since it's portability but still satisfying most of the consumer nowadays.

Hence, a commercial headphone amp and a decent headphones is require to justify the SQ and enhance the music performance. If i am not wrong, If u were using a decent IEM, an amplifier was not require and let the thing do it's work.
