I think the Sansa is capable of driving low to medium impedance headphones. What headphones will you be pairing the Sony with?

i dont like to use headphone because im always use my mp3 when i want go to sleep....afraid the headphone breaks into 2 parts shocking.gif ,im using earphone instead icon_rolleyes.gif ..but cheap sony earphone costs rm25+(dun remember which model) enough for me .that earphone sound bassy for me nod.gif

Like blegh said, most if not ALL portable players have no problem driving IEMs, earphones. I assumed you were using a high impedance headphone because you mentioned the Clip having low output.
