since you're using it for jogging, i assumed smaller is better.
i suggest Sansa Clip+ since it small and got a clipper, not to forget, its worth every penny on it

since you couldnt find any Clip+ at local market, you should check on garage sales

since every audio got its own frequency, i can say for example, a microphone which is said to have a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz can reproduce all frequencies within this range.

so, from my view, 5-23,000Hz is consider better, but its depend on a person ear to differentiate it

dont take sounds frequency too seriously, unless if you're doing some studio monitoring job at a recording firm

music is something to enjoy, and good earphone and player brings up the enjoyment

i own a Clip+, and so far, not many IEM can be drive well by Clip, so it called for portable amp like Fiio E5.
and since i heard C30 is quite similar with gumstick, i'm sure it can drive better than clip, and the different between the price is not far, and C30 is cheaper btw

budget wise, if you're interested with C30, just go for it, its already a good choice

i'm not sure whether C30 is better than zune hd, and amp is a nice add-on but needed if only you need extra drive on headphone

sansa clip+ or cube c30, both are nice, but since sansa got a better UI (plus it smaller), i'd recommend it for your sister

zip got a nice color screen (for viewing album covers), but basically, they're just about the same
i'd say, get a zip only if you want a good looking screen

tight budget, yes, E6 is enough for M50

from user review, Clip+ is better, but again, i guess they're just about the same, and just use E6, it should be enough
and lemme say this, amp isnt a magical device which can improve the SQ by large margins, unless you're using something hard to drive, then yes

the small Sansa Clip+, upgrade-able to 16GB by microSD, very nice interface, so do the warm sounding
