anyway IMO, gumstick's SQ isn't really that awesome, though certainly the internal amp is useful to drive phones. preferred clip+ but that one has serious issues with the battery life.

Here's the reason why:

>>> Cube C30 Review <<<

Very few people on LYN talks about the Cube C30 and even less people talk about this head 2 head of Hippo Gumstick vs Cube C30. I wonder why? hmm.gif

Hi can anyone recommend me a mp3 player with the following:

- small/medium size (eg: ipod Nano or Sansa clip+).
- basic function. don't need video.
- if possible, touch screen or easy navigation.
- around RM 300 budget.
- not particular about SQ.

the latest generation of ipod nano fits, but it's so pricey. Kinda interested in the Sansa Clip since I use it for jogging; the clip would be functional but it lacks a touch screen...

You can try the Sansa Fuze+.
Not touch screen but a touch sensitive pad. Can be a bit fidgety, but I got used to it.

Yeah I'd agree the sound isn't THAT awesome. But considering the price and size, you're hard pressed to find anything that can better it.

How can we get the C30 here, you know any seller?
Interested to compare those two myself. From the review the two seems quite similar though. hmm.gif

You want touch screen but not video? Thats weird.

Clip+ definitely, as if you'd be committed to the PMP when you jog anyway. plus brand new touchscreen PMP for 300 is rare.

Thanks for the suggestion. The Fuze+ would be great. Any idea where I can get it? Been searching the Garage Sale and on lelong.. can't find it. Also don't see Sandisk retail outlets anywhere.

@Adir : well, I don't need video. Just want a touch screen or touch sensitive pad to make scrolling for songs easy while I'm on the run.

Dang i duno if this cube 30 or gummy copy from each other or not.. really looks the same. I saw it before
C30 news came to LYN bit slower that gummy but with longer batt and BBE + good IEM, i should have waited for this maybe
well too bad then cos i already got the gummy in the first place, but for those who are getting gummy, can seriously consider this C30, whereas gummy don't provide earphone at all

Well, Jaben bundles them up with a few earphone choices FYI.
But at an increased cost.

But the spec says up to 130mW of output...woah. But from the impressions though, it sounds softer. hmm.gif
Shows you how output doesn't matter. Maybe it's maximum...maybe for some kind of reserve maybe.

Philips GoGear SA011. smile.gif Battery life is rated around 10 hours though, didn't read up reviews yet but 10 hours is abit.. Short.

I guess 10 hours is still better than the Clip+ with its utterly weak battery. *giggles* Two of my Clip+ gotten 6~7 hours at most.

Good SQ
long battery life, don like to charge frequently( more than 20 hours)
size not bigger than Ipod nano
reliable and long lasting I would like to keep it as long as I can without breaking down.

budget: RM300 plus minus, dun mind if it's cheap as long as it meets the requirement. use to listen to music with IEM.

Anyone can recommend me one?

may I know how is the SQ compared to gumstick? I previously tried sony I found it dull compared to Gumstick, musicality is what the gumstick offers i guess.
