Hi sifus (I'm quite new to this subforum), I'm planning to get a set of 5.1 speakers for my PS3 and after browsing through almost 169 pages, the most recommended model so far is the Logitech Z-5500. How about Harman/Kardon or JBL? Do they have decent 5.1 sets? Edifier is another good choice, just that it's bulkiness puts me off from getting it.

It's a good buy (Z-5500) I think, but the main problem is that the size. Is there any models out there, with similar specs like the Z-5500 but with smaller satellite speakers and subs? Coz' my LCD is mounted on the wall, so I might have to scratch my head where am I supposed to place the speakers if it's too big.

Budget range around 1.5k.

TOSLINK? Another name for digital input? Is it in par with the Z-5500? I've never actually read anyone that recommends Sony speakers though...

Yea, very tempted to get it already. But Z-5500 had been out for quite several years also... though if there's any newer better models out there.
