Be careful on one thing though, most of the vibration absorber are good heat absorber as well, make sure your PS3 can take it

You can't get 5.1 directly from PS3 with that speaker that's for sure. Whether you can get 5.1 through an amp is beyond my knowledge, and even if it can you could have gotten a better set of speakers.

QUOTE(amduser @ May 30 2009, 09:50 PM) better set of speaker? RM400 budget is too little for a surround sound system, so far i dont see any sound system that support HDMI in, unless PS3 > AV receiver > sound system or a home theater system, but that is around RM3k minimum You are using Sharp Aquos 66M for display right? That should have optical out, but the problem is your speakers.. I should have pointed you to the "cheapest way to get 5.1" discussion from the console couch if I bumped into you earlier.so that's mean both my PS3 and TV cannot give me 5:1 surround with the speaker set? only stereo? or unless i plug my PS3 and TV to a AV receiver? I bought Z5500 for RM1400 couple weeks ago, I think that's normal price for it (absolutely not a bargain price either). Before that I was using a Samsung HTiB which comes with optical input, bought it for RM750 brand new (a real bargain). I believe there are many HTiB that comes with optical input as well, recommended if you are tight on budget.

Just use stereo for a while until you have the money to get something you like. It's better than getting something you don't like now and waste another fortune again when you have the money to buy something you like.
