i dont know the difference in terms of quality, but gmx looks cooler! love the chrome grills in front of the satellites! depending on what type of music u usually hear, the gmx is suitable if u want to shake ur house with the amazing bass. if u're gonna use the speaker for parties, or disco music, bassy stuff, go for the gmx. but if u're not, go for edifier s330 a.k.a. s2.1m. the bass doesnt distort the music like the gmx does. by the way, it's just my opinion, u should try out both speakers first before buying any.

ya i try the gmx already, and love the design very much. Really going to shake my condo unit who stay nearby with me haahhaahah. if got the cash 1.5k i sure go fr logitech z5500. Never mind about that logitech way too exp to get such speaker at current situation. so far fr the edifier s330 cant find it to test,do u know any place i can go n give it a try out? thanks again.! icon_rolleyes.gif

any one mind to share his thought about logitech z-2300 speaker sound quality? thanks

My thought fr this speaker, if u are a 2.1 user this can consider high end 2.1 speaker d, some more i like the speaker design which is clear cut , with all the silver coating . Cause it wont season out in terms you plan fr long time usage. So if we are looking fr design this 1 is perfectly design out, like the Klipsh promedia gmx 2.1. Easy to suit ur PC color, and matching up too.

If you are a movie enthusiasm , go fr 5.1 speaker give u the best surround. Well if u like music a lot, 2.1 suit the best, cause no need fr a 5.1 speaker to hear all the surround thing fr music.

In terms of performance can rest assure, alot of review fr this speaker. Hope this can help u out.

i just bought myself logitech x 230 after reading a staggeringly positive reviews from Amazon UK. Why UK cos these people are a hi fi connoiseur and they have more separates system than the rest of the world. So when it comes to sound system trust the brits.

Cheap, presentable, non invasive (small sized) yet superb sound and neat build quality. Im an audiophile so i have quite a few system at home as benchmark but i find that these small speakers emit a  faboulus sound for my desktop considering the price. Forget sonic gear or ediifier, they look so ahbengs.U can also forget altec lansing or creative cos IMO, they look a bit dodgy but hey, we are all unique.

However, as alternatives, after days of extensive research online and visual inspections at Lowyat plaza, i found that logitech speakers are always neatly designed.  In order to get best value for your $$$, these are the Price range and recommended system for a 2.1.

< RM150 - Logitech x 210 (rm129)
<RM300 - Logitech x 230 ( not 240 cos they sound worse and i mean a distant second than 230 - Rm160)
<Rm400 - Klipsch Promedia GMX (rm399)
<Rm600 - Logitech z 2300 THX (rm500++)

But Why spend more when you can have excellent sound from x 230?  blush.gif they got the bass, nice treble and respectale midrange execution. Stocks in most shop in LYP are running out (they are oold speakers but logitech still produces em cos u know y) so you better hurry if you wanna grab one. drool.gif

You may want to audition them first before buying cos we are all unique in taste. Good luck.

If u compare this 2, which 1 will u go fr it just out of curiosity. Logitech x 230 and Klipsch Promedia GMX . Ya indeed x 230 is much more better then 240. I got 1 set of this 240 all in black color, get it new for just rm85. Really the quality compare to 230 really u can see the difference.

within tht price range, can get all kind of 2.1 speaker system. May i know wht ur previous speaker u using , or wht kind of usage u are going fr. Specified the needs u want, then mostly all of us can know which 1 to recommend u. But at the end you still need to head to on to any PC center to try it out ur self, so that u know which speaker suit u the best, go shopping or makan angin in low yat n set the pleasure to hear out ur up coming speaker !! ^^ rclxm9.gif
