Audiophiles will agree with me, good systems do not require treble & bass adjustments. If there are such adjustments (e.g. Audyssey Dynamic Volume, Audyssey Dynamic EQ or Calibration on the new Denon receivers), the primary purpose for equalization is to cater/compensate for room anomalies, and not to "enhance" the bass & treble.

Having more drivers do not necessarily guarantee 'better' sound. It is better to have ONE good driver than many mediocre drivers.

Take the famous Thiel CS1.6 or CS2.4 speakers. There isn't any midrange driver on the CS1.6, yet the sound emanting from it is truly remarkable. I have heard Thiels before, and by God, that will be my ultimate purchase! Truly perfection.

If I buy the Z5500 , will it be able to be fully utilized with my creative SB X-Fi sound card?

If I recall correctly its the creative megaworks 5.1

7years liao but it has served me well, until 1 of the satellites spoiled because I dropped it

then how about the input? the input there got center, sub, Fr, Fl, Sr, and sl

but since it got optical i dont think i have to worry much on the input

It's weird that you say ur graphic card is preventing you from installing soundcard. I thought there's quite a distance between the 2 slots on the board?

it seems like i wont get any better sound quality using car speaker, maybe will bring over the speaker at my hometown, its been abandoned at there for almost half a year since after i came KL to study

it is a Creative 2:1 speaker, all plastic casing, and the woofer not really strong enough, and with plastic casing, the bass are very loose.

that time i go lowyat plaza and search, all say no stock, only got display set and not for sell, actually i want to test and see the sound quality.

just now i try to connect red and white to my 2:1 using the Y splitter to convert red and white to 3.5mm, surprisingly, the sound quality are not as good as i connect to the TV

If you don't mind lifting your budget, s550 would be more better than these two  But off course the price is far from your current budget.
