If yes, then go for R501 for cheaper price but good performance 5.1 speaker.

yeah quite some time ago the 1st version of the r501 sold off n got the 1900t3 another superb set which was sold off n now an aego 3.1 system

if u dun wanna spend much r501 will b a nice bet can up budget a bit the s series lo stil remmeber testing em last time at edifier show room very nice

r501 is the best choice for budget user who wan a 5.1 system

My budget is around 500 but i'm thinking of buying second hand speaker coz it's cheaper. i think it's safe to list down speakers below rm750 as the second hand one will surely be below 500 then.

since u say u use it for ps3 and movie,maybe altec lansing fx5021 will suit u...but i think it is hardly to found for second hand .

the power of ebay . I cant found both edifier r501 and altec fx5021 on ebay though, so i'll have to get them off my list. I did found 2 logitech 5.1 speakers, logitech g51 and logitech z680. both of them are within my price range.

Anyone have any experience with these 2 speakers? I personally liked the look of g51 but z680 supports dts and dolby and i dont think g51 does that. Another thing is i can get g51 for less than 400 but i may have to fork out 500-600 for z680. just need to know if the price will be justified by sound quality. hmmm..pening

Hello fellas, got a question: If I have a DTS/Dolby capable card, do I need a DTS/Dolby capable (certified?) 5.1 speaker set to enjoy true surround effects, or I can just get any 5.1 set?

Is Edifier M3310 a good buy for a budget buyer like me? Well, I don't really know how to define good bass or etc. Just enough to accommodate my daily dose of music and series. In short, it is for entertainment. It comes with a wireless remote right? Pretty handy when I lie on bed watching my series.
