QUOTE(SpikeTwo @ Dec 2 2007, 07:01 PM) you know i am a gamer at heart. G51 price is halve the z5500. and with that extra 600-700, i could opt for a better graphics card, or HDD. Diff ppl has diff requirement, someone willl spend more in GC while someone rather spend more in speaker. Someone requirement both

QUOTE(Clavicus @ Dec 1 2007, 09:15 PM) WTA, Between Edifier DA5000, Edifier R501 MK2, and Edifier MediaPro/AudioPro S5.1, which one is superior in gaming sessions, in terms of delivering enough oomph during explosions while still mantaining clarity. My usage would be split into 70% gaming, 20% music, and 10% movies. I dont have a fixed budget yet, but i'd like to keep it under RM600 if possible. If you are using/used any of the speakers before, can you give me a simple rundown of the speaker? The new DA5000 will serve you rite

QUOTE(xterminator @ Dec 3 2007, 12:15 AM) The new DA5000 will serve you rite Thanks for replying, mate. One more question, the review posted on Inter-Asia's website on the DA5000 claims that it has "muddy midrange response, and needed a little boost in the treble range". Does this affect gaming, or is it more of an audiophile problem? Anyways, is there an Edifier showroom of sorts where i can try out the speakers? EDIT: Found the showroom location. WOW! 15k for speaker I only know BOSE PC speaker, never do research about BOSE 5.1 system. For game, I will consider z5500 with the price around 1.3k. This speaker perform very well in game and movie.

If you don't require heavy bass, I suggest you take Logitech x-230, nice treble and nice treble.
