hi i'm currently using a 2.1 speakers i believe it's Armageddon. recently i would like to invest in a better pair of 5.1 speakers for gaming. requires a optical input to the speakers (i'm not too sure about this). so my question is S550D or Logitech Z5500 worth the upgrade for the experience? does it support optical input? where can i find out more info regarding about the speakers.



currently i'm place my sub underneath my desk without the requirements above. if i place them as suggested how does it affect overall? i'm new to audiophiles so please bear with me? and reading materials i could research on?

and if i were to purchace one of the 5.1 system mention how should i place them speakers? again is there any material on this?

how high (elavation) should i mount these babies? 2m? human height? table height?

well, i was thinking of the m3300sf as well. but its quite difficult to find edifier or particularly this model in penang island. most shops carry logitech, altec lansing, creative and sonic gear

another option i have in mind is logitech z4. its pretty!

The bass will sound 'natural' and less boomy and not overpowered the satellite. And this is useful for music lover.

If in term of sound, I can't tell cause I never heard of Z4, but if not mistaken Z4's has only 1 way satellite compared to m3300sf which has 2 ways satellite, but somehow, somebody likes 1 way while somebody prefers 2 ways, it depends .

<300 is not a good price range. only M3300SF or logitech Z4 which is most preferred.

and if u like the good bass of AL45.1, dont think these 2 can give u the same experience. Z4 oni use 4" subwoofer.
if u dont, just pick the M3300sf.

Logitech Z4's bass will win M3300SF lah no matter what, Z4 bass so loose and it's quite low and smooth type...its not good for music but for inexperienced ears it will sound nice.

I hope pc fair got sell Z5500

Pc fair they may bring z5500, but buying a speaker which weights 23+- kg from pc fair is a good choice There are too crowded..

Even if you are ok with it, the price of speaker in pc fair won't be much different with market price, no special price for speaker in pc fair. Even other things won't be that cheap as well

When is the next KL PC Fair?

Will it have demo for those popular speakers like Aego M, Z5500 etc? Will they position the 5.1 speakers nicely so you can feel the surround sound?

Have been delaying to buy a new set of speaker for quite a long time due to being too busy and the H1N1 stuffs.

there thousand of people and hundred of gears which will turn on to 100% so dont expect to hear great acoustic on PC Fair. You can barely hear what the promoter say to you.
