Generally speaking, burn-in is the process for excising new audio equipment. Some high-end headphones require more than 400 hours burn-in to reach its "best state".Same goes to speaker. In reality, many people noticed the sound quality improvement after burn-in process. Your satelites is magneticaly shielded, so it is no problem for u to place it near monitor, but ur woofer are not , so it is better for u to place woofer on the floor , sound is much better too.

Actually just by playing those songs for certain hours will do, normal listening, but some says that you had better play it at volume higher than normal. It's up to you, as long as you won't disturb ur neighbour. Others might say it's better to use those Pink, white or brown noises for the burning process, pink noise is more favoured as it's said to comprise of wide range of frequency and normal songs are said to be biased towards certain frequency(read it from somewhere here, I forgot who mentioned it ady) This post has been edited by chingwooi: May 15 2009, 08:59 AM

im thinking of getting a new speaker for my desktop for my 21st b'day 2.1 / 5.1 either one is good but I prefer 5.1 currently using a creative megaworks 5.1 system (6years old) 1 of the satelite died out on me already, so its time I let it retired I like listen to many different types of songs, from R&B to slow classic songs my budget is above rm1000 , so no need to pull punches guys recommend me the best there is as long as its not over rm2000 This post has been edited by Wolf516: May 15 2009, 06:04 PM
