Yupe, tested it in Sri Comp, really nice and got a remote control rite. But never tested it with a metal songs. So that's why I'm waiting for the users review. Last time, it was selling for Rm 610.

i experienced with it, playing with my fren's R501 mk2, it perform great with techno and heavy metal song, the woofer can 'come close ' to S530D while playing techno and bass oriented song, but the clarity of satelites are no match with S530D , S530D's woofer also win in terms of more solid and clean bass and able to maintain the performace even at very high volume

S2000 i dont think around 700.
last time it sells at 1000+. afaik, the price is above S550D still.

but, there is S2000V. i personally only ever listen to this one, i can tell u this is the best computer speaker i've ever heard.
if on it show, can get at 700 maybe.

I think maybe you misunderstood. My previous was about the DA5000. I dunno bout S530D's performance since I was focusing more to the speakers within my budget. How much is the S530D anyway?
For me, DA5000 is a much better speaker i tested both Da5000 and R501 mk2 side by side.

am about to buy a 5.1 speaker system. am presently thinking of the logitech z-5500.
the problem is that it is somewhat an aging system, and the prices in malaysia seem a bit high compared to actual product price in the US, which has dropped quite a bit. maybe local retailers still hanging on to old stock? keke.

but its the only one ive seen which meets my requirements.

im planning to connect the speaker to my macbook, which would require an optical in port. other speaker systems do not have this port, and subsequently, are missing onboard sound processing. DTS, Dolby.... etc.

is there any suggestions on an alternative?

let me know if there is comparable sound to be had on a budget of rm 1500 - 2000. i'm open to a/v receiver / speaker combos as well.
ive found a yamaha setup for about 1700 at a big box store. with a receiver / speaker combo i have far better connectivity and upgrade options and am willing to spend a bit extra on such a system.


devices that would connect to the system includes, macbook, xbox360 and a ps3 soon.

Why don't you consider s750 from edifier if you are not urgent? (FYI it's still not available in market)

Guys, need something to ask. I'm now looking for a new 2.1 speaker set. I've narrowed my search to Edifier M3300 and Klipsch Promedia GMX A2.1 due to their great reviews. So now the problem is the pricing range. Since That particular Klipsch model is costs about RM100+ more than the Edifier M3300, is it worth the money? Or should I stick to Edifier M3300? How does these two fair? Is it too different? Is the Klipsch performance out of this world compared to the M3300? Does it really have any big difference? Need advice from sifus here

Why don't you just choose between s330 and gmx 2.1?? since they are in the same price range...

imho, m3300 will definitely lose to gmx2.1 in term of bass, clarity i have no idea perhaps you should audition it by yourself? see whether m3300's bass suits you or not.
