Hi xk2, thanks for your advice, actually the reason i ask for Klipsch because of its popularity in home audio system, is there any advantage for this Klipsh vs S330, coz i'd done a little bit of reading over the last 64 pages, most people recommend to buy S330. What is is so good about this S330 over this Klipsch apart from it's good treble, actually i listen a lot classical music. heehe. Is it klipsch more for gaming ?

PS Anyone got use this speaker or not, can give comment? it's altec lansing ACS295.

http://www.hardwarezone.com/reviews/others/acs295/ada70.gif
i think it is very hard for u to find the altec lansing ACS295 oredi. hmm.gif
If u are going to listen classical music, then u cannot mis out the S330 biggrin.gif
Review of S330 (chinese)

S330 is actually replace the old S2.1/S2.1D(refer picture below). One of the major benefit of S330 is the tweeter and its design. The 2 piano paint design satelites is much more nicer to look if compare to the old S2.1.Sound is clearer, thanks to the tweeter, and bass is tighter than the old S2.1.Even though the old S2.1 is quite good oredi, but the new S330 is mean to improve it. biggrin.gif

haha after did my research today, still wondering to choose m2300 or m3300...

regarding the price, which one will have a better bass...??

is there much different between 2 of them?
*
their main different is the satelites,M2300 do not have tweeter,M3300 have tweeter.if u have the money, get M3300 for around RM230,else,M2300 will not disapointed also at RM160+/-.M3300 got better clarity if compare to M2300. biggrin.gif

creative x-fi surround 5.1 is an average soundcard. i have 1 hooked up to my notebook. Definitely much better than the built in sound. I used the rca-rca stereo cables made by yeahs4.1 to hook to my razer mako 2.1.

u means sound quality ? C3's 8 inch subwoofer is larger than M3300's 6.5inch,and its 3.5inch midrange driver oso larger.Due to these two speaker is not in same league (price),so they cannot be compare, but if u are finding speaker for below RM250,M3300 is recomended becoz the sound it produce is one of the best in this class.C3 will cost u around RM380 +/-. Better get S330 at that price biggrin.gif

C3:
+wireless remote
+8inch woofer
+3.5inch midrange driver
+standalone amp design
+stylish wooden appearance

-Sound quality lose to S330 with nearly same price tag.
-Not recomend for music listen

M3300:
+very good satelites performance
+value
+one of the best speaker below RM250

-the bass can be better
-wired remote (not a big problem actually biggrin.gif)

In term of bass,MX5021 can give u more ''feeling'' than S330.But S330's strong point is its satelites speaker.MX5021 is better in movie while S330 is better in music,
So,due to ur 40% to both movie and music,it is hard to recomend u which one u should go for.try to listen them to make if posible to see which one satisfy u more, both are very good speaker. biggrin.gif

do note that MX5021 is priced at RM5xx +
S330 is priced at RM4xx +/-

Hello guys, I was thinking of getting the Klipsch ProMedia GMX A-2.1 in January.
The thing is, is it better to stick to the 2.1 set, or invest in a 5.1 set around the same price?

Thanks biggrin.gif

Usually 2.1 in this price is consider as very good one,but 5.1 in this price is jus so so only biggrin.gif

u turn the bass to level 5 ? hmm.gif from my experience, turn the bass to max wont give u the best sound, usually 3/5 is quite good oredi,or perhaps it is ur music quality's problem ? or maybe ur speaker still new,let the speaker burn in few days (if u believe this) ,then u may hear the difference.

burn in oso known as ''run in'' ,In my opinion, speaker that are below RM300 is optional to burn in,for speaker above RM300,it is recomended that u burn in ur speaker,to get the basic idea, we take an sport athletes as example ,an athletes oso require some time to warm-up before the sport start. For speaker, when things are newly purchase, the driver is very tight, thus we need to let the speaker 'exercise ' a bit to get the best potential sound of it.Burn in can be done by many ways,if want to follow the real way of burn in ,it is quite intresting actually.Below is some way to burn in.

type 1:
u can turn ur speaker volume to a louder save level, then 'boom'' it with difference type of song with a period.

type 2:Slowly burn in (means use the speaker jus like normal, becoz when u open music or watching movie, the speaker oredi in ''exercise'')

type 3:
Burn in with focus on each part of the speaker from tweeter to subwoofer.Basicaly there are 3 step, first is burn with signal,u can play some signal from 20Hz to 20Khz continuosly, wat to do if u dun have such disc? U can use some audiophiles grade Hi-Fi disc to play with ur speaker, continuosly running from low frequency to high frequency for certain period of time (few days ).Then ur speaker is ready to show its capability.

If u are using window XP,u can download the Edifier speaker tools to burn in ur speaker ,this software generate 'white noise'' signal to burn in ur speaker, but white noise is quite annoying, how to avoid this from disturb ur family member or housemate? You can put ur satelites facing each other to lower the noise level. biggrin.gif With this way,u can even burn in ur speaker at nite and u may go sleep even the speaker is in ur room.U can oso use cloth or other soft material to cover the satelites speaker, becoz we know that these kind of things can reduce noise.

You can oso burn in with using piano music, play it for a period. After done all the thing above, you can use the famous ''Hotel Carlifornia'' to get through the high frequency, midrange, and low frequency together.Play it for some period oso ,then u are done.

Above is jus for reference.if i say wrong dun use egg to throw at me laugh.gif
