Had 2 cars that front lamp was turning blurry and yellowish.

So watched some YouTube video on how to fix it.
But the result wasn't so ideal due to orange peel (wavy clear coat)

Nonetheless this method will last for a few years because it's 2K clear coat which can endure lots of oxidation and UV from sunlight.


First off, the lamp sides were sealed before polishing.
Using metal polish, the outside layers were removed, then cleaned using alcohol before proceeding with 2k spray.

But didn't did I know that the orange peel effect will be so much.
I had no experience in using these spray before maybe surface preparation wasn't good enough ??

But it's done alright.......

Another car......the lamp was totally gone.
Had plenty of hairline cracks that was corrected by the clear 2K spray.

Now the front lamp is much brighter

I haven't tried spray 2K topcoat yet....

but after those white blurry fog removed, light are brighter, further and more concentrated than before clean.... worth my 30 minutes.... can last at least 1 year.... but usually i cleaned it every 6months+, just hate to see blurry foggy headlight, its disgusting(from Kancil till Camry)....

Btw, have your L10 airbag changed?

This car is Xgear. Also in the recall list ah ??

All headlamp has UV protective layer on top of the plastic lens. The nissan come out totally like brand new after polish without spray but without protection won't last long wan.

There are other methods, some are totally clear like new, but without additional coating maybe can last another 1.5years if lucky. So after a while turn back yellowish

Got about 4 methods
All involved removing old oxidised layer (wet sanding/polish)

Then
1. Acetone (make plastic melt make it clear, no protection layer also)
2. Clear tint ( need some skill to put in tint, don't know can cover hairline cracks)
3. Spray 2k clear coat (come out orange peel LOL)
4. Ceramic coating (doesn't last long)

All has its own pros and cons. Maybe orange peel is due to my lame skills LOL
