Hi all,

I have a few questions regarding Xbox 360 and PC. Hope you guys could help me.
First of all, is it possible to play Xbox 360 and PC using LAN or System Link? Not using Live, don't want to involve the Internet.

If yes, what are the games available which is capable of doing this? I heard Shadowrun can be played LAN between Xbox 360 and PC. Is this true?

Thank you.

p/s: And what is Live Anywhere? How does it differ from the normal Live? Thanks.

How bout if it's console-to-console. Can I play LAN?
Thank you to leenaz and blackshirt for replying.

Never heard of LAN between PC & Xb360...i am not sure whether it exist but i do know the Live will sync xb360 & PC player (thats why sometimes you wait for "synching" in the game)

Live anywhere are suppose to connect PC-Xbox360-Mobile phone. It will slowly roll out in the near future, now is only Vista-360 playing together.

no need. But you missed out all the updates la~.

for example,

if your Xbox 360 Console A Have The update of Gears of War Annex mode. (and you connected to a Xbox 360 Console B Which doens't have ) it will not link at all.

you can play 360 to 360 on LAN without Live only with games that support System Link (such as Gears)

some games (like C&C3) only support XB Live multiplayer, u still need Live connectivity (and a subscription) even if u play on LAN. *that's how u guys did it at the consoul 07 event rite?

as of this moment, the only 360 to Vista game available is Shadowrun. from my understanding, PC users require a Live subscription to play with 360 players; therefore u need Live if u wanna go crossplatform multiplayer even on local network. correct me if im wrong

there's the plain Halo2 which works both on xbox1 & xbox360, and there's this new Halo2 for Vista... can multiplayer between xbox1 & 360, can't multiplayer between xbox & vista. so it's not really Live anywhere
