Try the Canon A570IS if you're willing to spend a bit more?
About S$330 to S$350 here. Has a real, mechanical lens shift IS system. Not like some boost-the-ISO image processing 'IS' systems (eg. Samsung ASR). Here's a NV-10 review that mentions a bit about the 'ASR' (which is basically a 'auto' ISO mode for ppl who don't know they can set ISO by themselves): http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/samsung/...iew/index.shtml The A570IS has a lot of manual overrides and usable ISO up to 400 (can use 800 and 1600 but...). Try these two reviews: http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/compacts/a570.htm http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/canon/po...ot_a570-review/ Beware... once you explored all the functions of this cam, you may be tempted to get a DSLR, like I did after the A510. |
