Hi everyone, I have some questions that hopefully can be answered by the thinkpad owners who ordered their unit(s) online directly from lenovo.

1. From where the laptop is being shipped, and how long does it take to ship to Malaysia?

2. How does warranty claim works for the laptop? Do we send the laptop to the nearest service center in Malaysia, or have to be shipped back to where it came from to be serviced/exchanged?

3. When will the NIGHT code be available again? Was so tempted to buy previously, but sadly the code doesn't work anymore now haha.

Thank you in advance for your replies sifus!

Do you guys continually renew your thinkpad warranty after it expires or just bring to repair shops for service after warranty over?

Considering thinkpad T series being a business grade laptop, how long can it last (moderate usage) without any issues, and how much would it cost to repair compared to consumer grade laptops?

The weird thing is all other laptops are still same price. Only the X395 and T495 prices have jumped like mad. Maybe they have some special coupon for these two model at checkout that brings the price down again? At the moment, the AMD models are more expensive than the Intel models, which doesn’t make sense.

I am actually targeting on getting the T495 model, considering it only costs around ~RM2.3k with base specs for a business grade laptop. Was skeptical about it as I'm left wondering why it's so cheap while physical stores normally sells it for nearly RM5k for the same exact model.

Was taking my sweet time researching on it, understanding what makes business grade laptop superior compared to consumer grade, was it worth sacrificing on specs for reliability etc...

When I finally decided it is the right laptop for me on Merdeka day itself, Lenovo friggin adjusted the price by nearly doubling it (~RM4k+ as of now rclxub.gif ) even after the new 'MERDEKA' code is applied. The 'NIGHT' code is still available currently, but the discounted price is nowhere near where it was few weeks ago.
