Hi everyone, I have some questions that hopefully can be answered by the thinkpad owners who ordered their unit(s) online directly from lenovo.

1. From where the laptop is being shipped, and how long does it take to ship to Malaysia?

2. How does warranty claim works for the laptop? Do we send the laptop to the nearest service center in Malaysia, or have to be shipped back to where it came from to be serviced/exchanged?

3. When will the NIGHT code be available again? Was so tempted to buy previously, but sadly the code doesn't work anymore now haha.

Thank you in advance for your replies sifus!

1. China
2. Onsite - call, carry in - bring to service center
3. No idea

ThinkPads are probably more rugged than your average MacBook Air or HP Envy, but they're definitely not "military grade". The only MIL-Spec laptops are Panasonic ToughBooks.

Agreed, MIL grade in 'normal' laptops is just marketing thing

L series is business grade btw (similar to Latitude 5000 series)

this is the 3500 pro, in an x395, completing the pcmark10.

Use AMD uProf for monitoring, hwinfo64 not reliable for AMD mobile APUs

Run a series of Cinebench or run Aida64 to find out the thermal limit

cinebench or aida doesn't represent normal, general computing usage.

this is for thermal testing only like I mentioned
