I'm seriously thinking of getting the PS3 version at the end of the month if there's no solid news about an asian release for the 360. The only thing that's holding me back from getting the PS3 version is the though of not having a 2nd guitar. At least I can use the GH guitar if it's on the 360

Just came back from GH. They have a PS3 version of the set up and running right now

The instruments alone will probably cost around RM1000 when it reaches here

That's the European version. 169 Euros just for the instruments. Direct conversion would be RM845. When doing a direct conversion for the US version it comes to around RM600 but when it arrives here it's around RM800

If you want to get a console specifically for Rock Band, better get a PS3. Easier to get. It'll be much easier to sell off as well if you decide to get rid of them.

If the price of RB1 set is gonna drop, I don't think it'll be a lot. The instruments and songs from RB1 is fully compatible with RB2. If you don't care much about the cymbals, like me, just get a RB1 set and get just the game when RB2 comes out. While waiting for RB2, I'll be upgrading my drum heads and the pedal
