Not sure if I'm posting at the right place but as what the topic says. Im looking for a 3rd part service to buy good from Japan. The stuff I really want is only 1 thing from toranoara website --> https://www.melonbooks.co.jp/detail/detail....oduct_id=526784 . Yea I went through white rabbit express, but I feel like the service charges is very high, might be due to getting a single item. but let's not forget to take into account that we're paying it by usd rate instead of rm. So these numbers DO MATTER. If the service /postage charges could be reduced if I purchased more, I wouldn't mind...but oh well. Right now Im needing other peoples' opinion before I jump onto them and spending a hefty amount for just a book(That ofc what I REALLY WANT & Going through the trouble of finding a 3rd party).

As you guys already know, Japanese wouldn't put a single effort to make their goods approachable for us gaijins. So we have to rely on a 3rd party services... but oh wait, when you want to apply for third party, they overcharged you with unrealistic pricing, even as far as the service charges to be equal to the price of the item itself. NANIIISSS?? So please help me gurus, do you have any reliable 3rd party services you used? If so, please kindly just say the pros and cons point of the services you used. I'd really like a service that;

1) Reliable service. You guys have experience using their service and definitely have no fraud in the process
2) Have reasonable service charge. I understand some services requires u to purchase a certain amount to get a free postage or service charge or reduced. IF they had that a great plus !
3) Simple procedure.
4) Could purchase a wide area of items (Maybe accept buying items from notable chain like donki, LAOX...etc) so It could help me in point number #1
3) fast delivery

If you guys have a friend who stay in japan who could buy also I wouldnt mind. I just want to get the book at a reasonable price and dont feel like These people are scamming me with overpriced service charges. sweat.gif

If its books from Japan, you could try asking Kinokuniya if they can order it for you.

WOW ! There is someone from white rabbit here ! Thank you for the assurance. There is some miscalculation on my part. So sorry about that. I look through the price quote and realize there is an optional extra charges (domestic shipping) that is automated clicked. So if I minus that the total fee now looks reasonable. I don't need the item urgently but it must reach me somehow LOL. The part where I felt very pricey is when the fee charges is equal to the price amount of the item itself. Anyways I do have more question to ask from your service so I'll drop an email to you guys instead. TQ !

1st step you don't need 3rd party to buy for you buy it your self so you end up paying yen directly
2nd step find any forwarding service google have plenty
3rd step choose the cheapest shipping option

tried and true method for me

To be specific its reasonable price for shipping. The price of the item itself is a book that cost roughly rm60 then you see the additional charges is the same price as the item itself, ofc you would feel skeptical over the charges especially when you are very new to the service and unaware of the price rates. So this is why this thread is made, to see other options. People (like me) wouldn't mind paying more if the price is justified.

Thanks for the suggestion, will try but not sure if it will work since the book is available in melonbook only. Wish japan kinokuniya cater their local artists' doujin book. Q-Q It would be a miracle if they could order this book. But I will still try ! THANK YOU

Look here, you are looking at doujin items which are in limited quantity and usually in one time production. Once it's gone then it's gone. Rm120 for total isnt expensive at all. There are doujin books priced at 10k yen above when actually original price is less than 1k yen once it's become rare in market.

Think it like you go to Comiket. You buy loads of cheap doujinshi books but you still need to pay for flight trips and hotel. Those 3rd party services are reasonable anyway.
