 Random Shutdown for white macbook, after change RAM

Hi Frens,

I've upgraded my RAM yesterday by adding 1gb mushkin ram at lowyat.AFter upgrade the ram is detected 1.25 gb but the strange thing happens is Random shutdown.Is there any solution for this.Is this cause by not certified Apple RAM.Kindly advise.

Hmm...most probly the problem is uncompatible RAM....see if the problem persist if you take out that new RAM. It problem stopped then the culprit is your new RAM. Go back to the shop & see if you can change to another brand of RAM

Dunno about Munchkin but you can go to kingston's website and get the product code for ram that will work with the MacBook then you can ask the Low Yat shop to order them for you.

Yes but what speed, specs, etc.

They have to be right for it to work reliably.

this is most common problem for macbook..every mac forum i join, this is most popular topic..

there is a solution, simply get the compatible ram for macbook...as stated by miramar, google site and get the code..

many mac users at europe/america prefer to use crucial ram since its designed for macbook..
