Amatoria from Ferrin & Morris is also great. Not easy to harmonize both melody and uplifting beat together. They did it well for this tune.

QUOTE(kevler @ Jun 10 2014, 11:45 PM)
yes ..including Astrix ...

this episode totally dark ..totally nasty .

now i felt the real psy trance and tech trance in ASOT ...hoping to see psytrance stage during ASOT 700 later this year :-)
*
dark..i wasn't sure about it due to addition of some horror/thriller quotes embedded inside, which to be frank kinda spoil my mood except the HellRaiser quote,

but nasty, EFF YES. It's real as it feels!

Was hoping that as well, one psytrance room but very likely only will be done in places like Utretch or Holland T.T

QUOTE(xbbshampoo @ Jun 10 2014, 11:58 PM)

QUOTE(kevler @ Jun 21 2014, 10:18 PM)
yes ..i was there
3 hours ...what a night . saw a fanatic with sign "Fady is on fire" . For me , it is totally true.

I wish he could play Will Atkinson - Isolator and John Askew - Mechanism that night . hehe

he played most of his track in Quiet Storm (Remixes)
http://open.spotify.com/album/2eb9Ie9sVu8lUqfOLRLoru

and some Psy-Trance track and tech trance which i can identify some

Astrix vs Simon Patterson - Shadow
Black & White vs. Major7 - Black 7 (Coming Soon remix)
John Askew - Plush
RAM - RAMelia

He totally brought his mix to the next level , uplifting 138-140 bpm ...not more and not less .. the beat , the atmosphere , the vibe ..totally amused me .. reminds me of his FSOE 300 event

and frankly speaking , i almost forgotten Armin's progressive trance ..wahahahahahahhaa
hoping Fady could bring his legendary FSOE event here ...or include John O' Callaghan's Subculture .
*
And he played coming soon- become one (interactive noise remix) HNGGGG i cannot believe when i heard he played psytrance! Fuhhhhh

And Tula? Omg! so ASOT 600 over again!

QUOTE(kevler @ Jun 21 2014, 10:35 PM)
yes Tula ..that track is totally nice ...and Fire Island (remixed by Solarstone) ...that is something :-)

not sure how many time i listening to Aly and Fila ASOT 600 KL set again and again ....more than Cosmic gate ..more than AvB.

for me , if i listen to it , again and again ..without boring ..that DJ is totally great .. #truestory

to name a few .. Simon Patterson , John Askew and Aly & Fila ...

hoping Astrix and Mr Brush Strokes can come over to our shore .
*
I left when he played Perfect Love, because of my bud who was way too tired due to jumping too frequent. He wasnt into trance but when i brought him last night he was like oh yeahhhhhh this is my shitttt!

But the one hit me straight to my heart will be 'The Way back home (Matt Bowdige remix) - Ferry Tayle, i didnt expect he played this especially this is the last music i play on my iphone. I was like waittttt whattttt?! Although i wish he could play Amarotia - Ferrin and Morris.

Really hope to watch Aly and Fila and John o Callaghan

hahah ..totally epic ..i was there till the end ...and i was never expected that Perfect Love track come up ...reminds me of the early days of my passion on ALy dn Fila's work ..since then , they are in my A-list DJ ..

3 hours with goosebump 138-140 bpm ...arghhh....each time he sync'ed track with another uplifting beat ...i said to myself, this Fady guy totally genius ...
*
Yeah, at first, the first 5 tracks weren't very great from me, after On Fire...then shit just got real. I just like how it starts the tune softly and it progressed to uplifting stage. I was like farkkk yeahhhhhhhhhhh, u just couldn't say no to this beat. I can understand the crowd wasnt there due to World Cup but to those who is willing to skip Aly and Fila set, well you guys gonna regret.

His sets end at what time? 5 i assume? I left at 4.00 ish, i'm there since 11.30 p.m. and damn man, its real as it feels!

some people love progressive , and some do love hard style ..and uplifting is like in between ..

that is why i'm ok with Psy-trance , hard trance , tech trance and uplifting trance especially on Aly & Fila's work.

and slowly i moved away from progressive set like AvB , Andrew Rayel , Markus Schulz.

for PvD , he is exceptional . Aly and Fila learned from PvD ..and now they are legends .

i was there since 10pm , queued at 1030pm , entered around 11pm .. ..he started this set around 1.15am  ,and ended around 4.15am ..

shiet.....4.15, that's like very close to when he played Perfect Love. fuhhhh

did fadi play for all time? That should be the tune of the year for 2014!

Yup! The surprising part is Perfect Love the one he collaborated with Roger Shah. I was like WUTTTTT. I was really expecting them to play their We Control Sunlight, but to no avail.

QUOTE(kevler @ Jun 25 2014, 11:28 AM)

Trance: Often faster than house. Trippy & more intense.

Progressive Trance: Trance music that bleeds into a wide range other genres. Tends to be more melodic & interesting.

Uplifting Trance: Exactly what it sounds like.

Psy Trance: Incredibly fast, intense, and druggy. What a mushroom trip sounds like.

*
Very stim for me to distinguish Trance and Progressive Trance for me compare to Uplifting Trance and PsyTrance, even after listening to trance for nearly 5 years. I only can separate them through artists. All em trance Djs believe trance is all about the melody and harmony, which leaves us the question, what's progressive trance then? Progressive trance for me is like Myon Shane, Juventa, Estiva, Andrew Bayer and many more.

Arghhh....very confuse @.@

QUOTE(kevler @ Jun 30 2014, 08:39 AM)
congrats to Aly and Fila for being #1 DJ in Trance Podium

Prog trance as its name suggests, has a longer progression scale and subtler breakdowns. Also, the peaks and valleys are less "hard" and defined (the drop isn't as crazy). 130-something bpm if I'm not mistaken. dope prog  trance guys include Old school BT, armin, ATB, Orkidea, Sasha, John Digweed, matt lange, dinka etc.  smile.gif
*
Orkidea, its been awhile since i heard from him, i know he is good pal with Solarstone.

Wow, i didnt know Dinka is lean towards progressive. I thought its chill type of trance, all these while.

Aly & Fila vs Ferry Tale - Nubia

Feels like old time again!

I really hope they will break the top 10 this year in DJ MAG (although its an overrated competition)
