Casper has two issues now.
1. He likes to bite his treats or sleep on the newspaper where he is supposed to do his business!! More often than not, he wont sleep on his pillow / cage but prefer to sleep on newspaper. However, once he had done his business there, he would stay away from it. Is there any way I can encourage him to eat his treat / sleep nearer to the cage side or on the pillow instead because of hygienic purposes?
Hmm?Casper love newspaper so much ? anyway stick back to this method , if Casper really sleep at newpaper then say ' No' and lead Casper to it own pillow and sleep instead of sleeping on a newspaper when Casper sleep at it own oillow then praise Casper and say Good boy or show ur happy expression which is happy voice tone to let Casper know you are happy with his attitude which is back his own pillow sleep.

2. Whenever I call Casper to come to me and sit, he would sit with his back facing me (means he will face whatever direction I am facing). Some people tell me this is a sign of submission. Others tell me that he lansi me, giving me the back. Is there any way to train him, come sit face-to-face? Does it mean submission or lansi actually?
My furkid never did this to me before but i think If is like this then use hand signal to allow ur Casper know he have to focus and facing you for sure . If is noe Casper use his back and facing u then u adjust his position with ur hand signal and Call Casper look at here , then if Casper really look at u while u use ur hand signal then say ' Good boy " ..i think slowly casper will know the correct way sit while u ask him to sit ( Just my 2 cents anyway )

different owner got different method to teach , maybe u can try other method too

I put Treat blackwood want at lui lui nose for a period of time also and when i say ok then only she can eat.
But Pretty cannot u know why ? because got Flat face ='P the treat cannot put at nose there Hahaha

yeap , last time lui lui dunno why i put treats on her nose , then keep on sniff the treat while i trying put the treat on her nose but now when i put and i say ' Hold ''...ah ~
then she lay down '' and wait till i say okay '' but this trick lui lui learn very fast just 5 min , maybe she know got treat can eat soon then wait for OK this word from owner .

Hahaha of cuz Mikey dunno there a treat at top of it own head mar that why show no-response and stone there and just look at u =') put on top of shihtzu head ar..my pretty does that too but i feel put at dog nose will be more challenging because the treat just near nose + eye

but i know how she train it , she also use hand signal want . the 1st time when put the treat at her nose ...she keep on sniff and wonder why must put treat at her nose . Then my Gf use a hand signal and ask lui lui look at her hand signal while put the treat at her dog nose there . That the 5 min she took to train Lui Lui this trick and she learn it quite fast and now no need use hand signal already . she will know when i put treat on her dog nose , then she will la down and wait me to say '' Okay '' then only she will slower her head down and wait the treat fall and eat . Done

yeah...my Pretty cannot put the treat at her dog nose also...keep on dropping =.=
so whenever i hold a treat or put a treat on the floor and Pretty will lay down for a distance and wait i say '' OK '' only eat
